Who We Are

The Fraser Valley Labour Council (FVLC) was chartered by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) on January 17, 2007. The FVLC serves the communities of the Fraser Valley and Canyon including Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Agassiz, Harrison, Hope, Lytton and Boston Bar. The FVLC works to promote fairness and improve daily life for everyone in the community, through advocacy and education.

The Labour Council is made up of members from local unions and organizations affiliated to the CLC. We represent over 12,000 members from affiliated unions. Our members can be found working in offices, supermarkets, factories, forests, the media, construction sites, hospitals, hotels, stadiums, schools, transportation systems, and even the corner coffee shop.

The regular meetings of the Labour Council are held on the third Wednesday of each month (except July, August and December) from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

The Fraser Valley Labour Council gathers on the ancestral, traditional, unceded territories of the Matsqui and the Semá:th First Nations, of the Stó:lō Nation.
