As you may know, CUPE 561 transit workers in the Fraser Valley are currently on strike to reach a fair deal. There are a small number of members spread across 4 picket lines, two of which are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Now is the time to help ensure that we keep morale high, and we know that support from the broader labour movement will help these build resolve.
How you can help:
- Attached is a poster for a rally in Chilliwack happening at noon next Wednesday, April 12th. Please share this poster and attend if you are able.
- Linked here is a sign-up sheet to support these members on the picket line. If your union or locals can to commit to support and build solidarity, please sign up. Picket locations and times are also listed at the link.
- Send a message to decision-makers urging them to end the strike by reaching a fair deal. Visit https://weneedalift.ca/ to sign the action, hear members’ stories, and learn more about the issues.
We appreciate your solidarity.
