United Way Period Promise increases access to free menstrual products in our community so that everyone who menstruates can go to work, get to school, access services, and stay connected to their community.

This year’s Period Promise collection campaign, presented by Pacific Blue Cross in partnership with CUPE 1816, will run from May 1 – 31, 2024. We hope you’ll help us distribute more product to community organizations in our area. To make that possible, we’ll need to collect more than 500,000 menstrual products – or their equivalent in financial donations. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re making it safe and easy to get involved.
The easiest way to have an impact is to donate directly to the Period Promise campaign. You can do that by making a financial through this website, or by getting connected to a product collection campaign. If you want to go one step further, you can run a product collection or financial donation campaign with your family, friends, or coworkers!

In 2023, the United Way collected 500,000+ products and distributed them to more than 120 community agencies, which is the most frontline organizations ever!
